Our History

Bear and I live in Portland, Oregon where it rains all the time. I have a closet full of performance rainwear but there was never a good option for Bear. Most rain jackets for dogs are not truly waterproof and absorb heavy rain. Others are just plastic or rubber shells that bake our dogs.

After years of frustration and sub-par jackets, I turned to my friends in the apparel industry. We spent 2 years adding features, adjusting size and fit, and perfecting the design. Rovercoat dog raincoats perform beautifully, have a silky fit, and look great. They are featherlight, breathable, and 4-way stretching — all designed to keep our dogs as comfortable as possible. Dogs are part of the family and they also deserve the best.

Our Present

We love dogs and we believe they deserve the same treatment as humans. Our company is built on three tenets: performance, quality, and style. We stand behind our dog jackets. Each one is handmade using only the finest fabrics and accessories. We take pride in our craftmanship and attention to detail, from the four types of reflectivity, to the tailored fit, even to our logo which is an umbrella turned smiling dog.
